About our Program

Methods

• Truth:
  As a faith-based program, we are dependent upon God, through Jesus Christ, to restore and meet needs. Because we believe that the Truth should not fear investigation, we welcome honest, open, and respectful discussion and debate so that teens know what they believe, why they believe it, and how to defend it. We understand that most of our lives are the results of choices and those choices are made based upon our understanding of Truth. It is our duty to present that Truth in a meaningful and relevant manner to the youth in our care.


• Networking:
  To enhance our ability to better meet the diverse and complex needs of today’s youth, we choose to work with other, like-minded organizations.


• Environment:
  Genuine change requires honesty and transparency. We choose to accept teenagers “where they are” in life, not where we want them to be. We then create a physical, emotional, spiritual and social atmosphere conducive to positive growth and change. This environment provides opportunity for the youth to develop trusting, healthy, positive, consistent, mentoring relationships which thus allow teenagers to dream, to hope, and to believe.


• Education:
  Recognizing the significance of both an academic and a “life-skills” education, we encourage students to develop confidence in their educational endeavors by providing them with the skills, knowledge and attitudes to accomplish their goals and dreams.
